In a statement released earlier in the month during the Windows 10 Technical Preview Yamaha recommended against upgrading to Windows 10 until compatibility could be confirmed after users reported problems with the Vocaloid 4 Editor on Microsoft’s new OS. For the moment Yamaha is regarding Windows 10 as an unsupported OS until compatibility can be confirmed.
While Windows 10 is exciting, new, and upgrade free for Windows 7 & 8 users it is recommended you hold off upgrading for at least a couple months as both Microsoft and software vendors sort out the release issues. This post will be updated as the situation changes. For now, it is recommended against upgrading.
For those of you whom jumped the gun and have already upgraded to Windows 10 fear not. As long as you did not delete the 15GB Windows.Old folder you can still revert back to your Windows 7/8.1 install by following this guide.

There has been a bit of a media blackout concerning Vocaloid Ruby here at Engloids.Info, part of it was because most of the ongoing reports and ‘leaks’ in Ruby’s production were of questionable vivacity. It wasn’t until AnimeExpo and the 4th of July reveal event that we were able to get the first official word on the finalized details besides the name “Ruby”, an event that surprised many and lead to much confusion within the Vocaloid community.
There was a lot of fragmented information and conjecture involved in piecing it together; ultimately this article is the result of our findings.

Yamaha announced today on Vocaloid Net, Yamaha’s public facing (Japanese) Vocaloid portal, that they will be closing Vocaloid Store and that a replacement creatively named “Vocaloid Shop” will be launching some time late May.
The announcement is short on details on the exactly what the difference will be beyond that Yamaha will be continuing their existing relationship with Bplats Ltd. and as with the now defunct Vocaloid Store, the new Vocaloid Shop will be managed and operated under licence to Bplats Ltd.
At the time of press VocaloidStore.com leads to a null DNS and Shop.VocaloidStore.com is still operating. No word yet on how this operating change will affect the English VocaloidStore which remains up for the time being.
