With Avanna’s launch right around the corner, rumored to be sometime within the next week, Zero-G has released another demo. Its short, at only 45 seconds and without a backing track it provides a nice clean look at Avanna’s vocal qualities.
The demo song is Wishing on a Star, originally an R&B song from 1978 sung by Rose Royce. Avanna seems to be exceptionally smooth and clear, though not without some delivery oddnesses that will likely take some fine tuning in-editor to work out.
The demo debuted on the Demo Page of the still in progress Avanna Vocaloid website. While still a Work-In-Progress the page had previously had a ‘coming soon’ message with an expected release date of December 20th.

Update:
‘It is unlikely to be as soon as the 20th unfortunately. We are hopeful for a pre-Christmas release for the downloadable version, but we really cannot promise that. Thanks so much for your patience, and I’m very sorry for not having a definite answer yet.’
I am gonna write this one off as Yamaha’s fault.
