Well hello hello there New engloid blog. It be me sleepysheep from VO. guess who has you book marked now? Also great find for engloids.
Thank you for picking up where the other blog left off. Good luck.
I really enjoyed that Big Al demo. I have a feeling he’s going to be a hit in Taiwan!
Good article. Very informative.
Wow. Great stuff Hentai-P; very professional. I think the new avatars should catch on here in America. Honestly, in some cases they’re a lot better than the ones we tend to prefer. I wonder if Taiwan’s interest in Engloids will be a cause for a rise in popularity over here!
Eh I personally hate the designs for taiwan but each market needs a different marketing style. Anyways I believe Prima design takes a heavy influences from Chinese opera houses and a huli jing ( demon fox from china used in alot of mythology ). While tonio design is based more on a oni/ demon( yes I know that is Japanese Mythology but I don’t know what it is called in Chinese ).
Pingback: Video: Anime Expo 2011 Prima Engloid Skit | Engloids
Loved Prima’s persona in this. I wish there could be a whole Engloid cosplay troupe. I’d totally participate (I was at AX, but in Touhou cosplay). Could make a great YouTube mini-series.
I loved that so much! My inner fan girl is wailing
Prima sure has some attitude in this.
I can’t wait to send this to everyone.
On day 1, when the first episode of this came out, I recognized Sweet Ann’s voice immediately and almost spit out what I was drinking, frantically looking for someone to point it out to! ^^ Well-covered, Hentai.
I’m glad you guys liked my skit >3< My friends and I worked really hard on it. Thanks to my buddy, Cessie (more known as a Black Star cosplayer) for being my Len and my buddy, Liz (who was going to be Luka but had to drop out at the last minute) for making the awesome costume for me. :3
Heard about this a while ago on the Vocaloid Otaku forums. Good thing there’s a blog to post this sort of Engloid stuff!
After some time passed I have let these “re-designs” grow on me a little. Only a little. I still cringe at the thought of Mr.McSparkley-pants Al and Shoujo Ann, but that’s only because I prefer the less Anime’d look to them. It’s what made them unique. As for Tonio and Prima, wasn’t surprised/impressed with their designs either…
The commends are managed by Disqus (because WordPress’s internal system sucks) but you can edit your avatar and display name in the little menu that pops up when you hit the Disqus logo at the top right of the comments section.
oh.. hello. Nice article. If I could ask, I’m thinking of getting a PowerFX vocaloid, and I’d like to know which one would probably be better (not necessarily as the easiest) but a good first vocaloid for producing rock/pop/electronica songs. You don’t have to answer. I’m just worried that I’ll invest in a vocaloid and be unable to write songs or enjoy writing songs that match the styles of the vocaloids. If I do decide I’ll probably buy one in about a month. Overall, this is a good article and I look forward to everything on the engloid (I just say english vocaloid)blog.
Hey. I can definitely say it’d be easier to make Sweet Ann sound good (and understandable), but Big Al falls more naturally into an American accent. I guess you have to choose which factor is more important to your musical style. I can’t really help you with that part, because “rock/pop/electronica” covers a pretty wide range. I will say this much though: I am definitely not disappointed with either character. Keep a look out for my next article, which is gonna be a bit of a tutorial on making Sweet Ann fit more of an American accent.
thanks. I bought Big AL, and he works fine with what I write.
I’m sorry, but your information on Zero-G’s Vocaloid2 pricing is off. The download versions of Prima, Sonika, and Tonio are available on their own websites for $99.99 each.
Sources: Bought Prima and Sonika myself.
Koda-P included the last line “Both companies have been known to change their pricing at certain times, so keep on the lookout for sales” precicely because of promos like the ones you are mentioning. They are limited time promotions and were not available at the time of publishing.
Zero-G has been known to have done similar promotions in past, particularly around holidays, but they are by no means their normal price and usually have a limited window of opportunity. Those interested best take advantage of these sales now as the last time they had one was 8 months ago in November.
Yes. At the time of writing that article, I had Zero-G’s website open in my browser while I double and triple-checked the pricing to make sure there were no mistakes. I’m glad they’re having a sale though!
Okay, Prima’s demo above is in fact NOT speaking Mandarin, or any form of Chinese. If you listen closely, she’s speaking English.
I told Hentai-P the same thing, but apparently he forgot to come around and change the videos up. Maybe this’ll encourage him to do so! ^^; Sorry about that.
Pingback: Interview: Puffihn | Engloids.Info
I think she deservers a P name.
Traditionally -P is an honorific appended to a name as a sign of respect. The Vocaloid community has twisted this a bit but if you really respect a producer don’t be afraid to assign him/her one. That’s how they catch on!
Yes I know, that´s why I´m saying she should be called a P.
Woo! First exclusive interview for Engloids.Info. Puffihn-P, you’re definitely not alone in your answers. Loved it, and I look forward to more VOCALOID originals coming from you! ^^
Puffihn is one of my favorite Miriam users. I’m almost always the first to comment on her videos. I’ve been subscirbed to her since Untitled 1. I support giving her a -P name.
Although it’s against tradition, I think we should ask Puffihn if she would be willing to recieve a -P name. She might be too over whelmed and start to feel forced to post new compostitions.
FANTASTIC ARTICLE. I have to say no matter how elementary or low tiered,
BASIC this info is—-most people avoid this and proceed to post their
shitty (‘scuse my French) mixed Vocalo files on most uploading sites.
The examples are very nice, thanks for the inclusion!
That’s why I do it. Hopefully it will help to give other producers the tools they need to stand out a little more. Thanks for your comment! ^^
Very nice article. I also use EQ 2 on FL-Studios. Though I never did use the compressor. I may have to give that a try.
Congratulations for the interview. I liked it very much!
VERY enlightening. I always wondered why he left, and I do like the topic touched up on people and how they also weigh heavily on the image of the voice(mascot).
He IS one of the most acclaimed Engloid producers out there.
Nice song! I wonder which parts were contributed by the band; I was hearing a lot of synths. Then again, what do I know? A band could mean a group from when the synthesizer was just getting to be popular, in which case this is just what I would expect. Oh Sonika, when will Zero-G finally apologize to their buyers by making your bank usable, instead of your art? Nice to see some good new Sonika originals are being made.
I’m seeing more videos on youtube of English Vocaloids and people ARE starting to get into the swing of things. The Japanese Vocalois who have been popular for a while now anyway are growing (they have been anyway for a way now). Right now, Vocaloid is progressing well, however with success only falling in Japan theres less will to develope the non-Japanese Vocaloids. This has to change in the future and I hope it does but only the fans and user baae can chang3e that.
But Sonika is market as U$89 not 79.
And I bought Miriam and didn´t get my coupon discount T:
Heh they adjusted it after the additional publicity… or maybe they realized how weak the Dollar has been. I double checked before posting so it was accurate when I posted it, but seems to have changed since then.
As for you coupon when did you order Miriam? The product page says it can take up to 24 hours to be delivered.
I’ve mailed Zero-G they forgot my coupon, now I have it.
Owwwwww awesome im waiting foor bew powerfx vocaloid its a male right?
So I’ve heard. I hope it is, because male VOCALOID voices are hard to come by.
Well honestly I was hoping to see an english female pop up aswell but males are always in hand.

I would jump for joy if it were that boy band he joked about once ;0
I can’t wait to resease the Vocaloid3 and especially the Power FX Vocaloid!!
Woo! I’m so excited to see something like this! Is it bad that the first things I noticed are the mistakes in the logo though? Sonika’s “l0:” should be just “l0” and Prima and Tonio should be saying “OI”. Also, I would think Big Al would want to be saying “d” or at least a Japanized “d @U”, but VOCALOID2 won’t recognize “d0:”.
Also, that would make them all say “eenguloid” or “eenguloido”. I wonder where I can contact this project and thell them that “I N g l OI d” or “e N g l OI d” are the proper phonemes…
There. Sent an email I hope they can read. Now I’ve said my peace so I can stop spamming the comments page. ^^;
DO WANT!!! I know I would be willing to pay double that if someone could ship it to me.
My gut is also telling me that 91 may show up in this doujin as well

Good summary thanks. And also very well done blog.
Also a typo for you to correct: “VOCALOID1, though a more primitive software, has proven itself more than once to be able to hold its own against its predecessor”.
I’m sure you meant successor, not predecessor here.
i WANT THIS so much!!! daaamn! i want to support them! QAQ
Probably the biggest thing to happen to the Engloid fandom in a while.
I was honestly mad with that. How could they not list engloids?
So was me, It’s VERY unfair!!!
” I know Zero-G & PowerFX are counting on you for an English version of the editor at least.”
Actually, the editor is natively in English. The Japanese version has a few language patch files. ^^
Would appreciate an English checkout page so we can purchase it. Maybe a way to accept American credit cards? Would be asinine if they expected their Engloid purchasers to navigate their JP site.
Sonika, I love you *-*
I really want an ACT2 for Sonika.. e.e Because I love her voice *.*
sad… Now it’s $99.99 and I still don’t buy any VOCALOID =C My dad’s procrastinating to buy it ù.u
I saw it. It just made me sick looking at VOCALOID site and not see anything in english there, neither information about engloids. It’s just so unfair!!! They were the first VOCALOIDs to be released, they NEED attention! Old things aren’t bad things. I know there are japanese people who likes engloids, I know it!!
The Engloids are actually listed on the JP site. Only problem is the links all redirect to Crypton rather than the proper product pages or company websites:

I’m looking after new news, you know.. XD
I LOVE the new characters designs! Sweet Ann dosen’t look scary any more and everyone looks awesome! ^___^
*rubs chin* It used to bother me that they were redesigned for different audiences, but as long as they get promoted, right?
I just noticed this now, but the sides of the box art feature, what I think is “chibi” versions of their respective characters?
The re-designs look fantastic, though. I do hope someone puts together a DECENT demo, not some half-assed one where they are flailing in Korean, or this trans-oceanic release would be utterly embarrassing.
yes each box art has their chibi versions in the side

Awesome update! Prima seems to have a profile of a “puppet”?
Similar to how Miki looks a lot like an android with her visible hinges/platelets.
I do wonder why the weight and heights are so odd. They are either too short or they weight way too little.
Ilove the new sweet ann design she doesn’t look scary, she’ more like a cowgirl timetraveler, but the design of prima doesn’t match with her voice it’s like iroha, both are too cute to their great and lower voices
WOAH. The font and colors astounds me!
Sonika’s Taiwan profile is not the same as the one on zero-g website though. If the * meant 2 profiles instead of a new one, then nevermind.

I’m obsessing over this Vocaloid. ; _ ; I would *love* demos… or at least a name.
Fantastic! I never would have thought other (Vocaloid)producers could be found anywhere else that wasn’t NND or YT!
looks …interesting… ! I cannot wait (I really can’t) till more information is shown. I still want to know, however, what on earth the other companies are doing. do any of you know? I just hope oliver isn’t the cat oliver from walt disney picture’s “Oliver and Company”. Even if it is that, I’ll probably still eventually buy it. Nevertheless, now that I’ve seen that, the infuriating wait drives on…
So, this post is like a joke or something, right? I mean, you can’t be serious… right…?
So freaking excited for this!
When I want to hear his voice early, and I do not appeal in a voice above all!
Ummm….Can it really be heard?
Not sure if legit. I’m not saying he isn’t going to happen, I’m just skeptical.
He didn’t give many details but Oliver confirmed what was said in the thread to be true: http://vocaloidotaku.net/index.php?/topic/23564-vocaloid3-oliver/page__st__330__p__611595&#entry611595
That is, Anders confirmed it. Oliver might have a biased opinion regarding his own existence.
I vote for the bird to be named “Twist”, after Dicken’s classic English novel “Oliver Twist”. Please support the name!
People over at VocaloidOtaku are calling the bird James… I approve! ^_^

I’m not sure the ignorance for English site is a double standard treatment or it’s just that they actually can’t speak English. Both way pissed me off though.

I think that this interview was translated from Spanish. Or Guiseppe’s English needs more paraphrasing and less quoting.

That was the main thing that kinda bugged me, but seriously, editor…

Holy Cow, Hentai. You’re just rolling in new info, aren’t you? This sounds so exciting. I know more than a few Engloid fans who would be interested in a Celtic-inspired VOCALOID. Hell, I know the Japanese will be all over her when she hits the market.
Great information. I hadn’t played with compression much and your suggestions were just what I needed. It makes a world of difference in the mix. Thanks.
I Hope that ZERO G sells the V3 english editor. I need it in english…
I am pretty sure the Editor software on VocaloidStore is available in 3 languages Korean, Japanese, & English and you can switch between them. I haven’t use it myself though. I am waiting to see if there is a discount/bundle if you get it with a Engloid V3.
Really? So your saying the editor can change between the 3??
Old one could too. In fact the V2 editor was programmed in English. Delete or rename the JP language files and it reverts fully to English.
I had heard of that, but didn’t think it would work for the new one. Thank you so much for your help!!
Full Disclosure: I don’t have the V3 editor myself but that is how it works according to reports I read on VO.
How about an article on mixing for different types of speakers? My mixes sound OK on headphones or a home stereo, but sometimes they sound terrible on laptop speakers. Is there a secret for making it sound good on all types of speakers?
there is also a new product of yamaha vocaloid Ange Wayne from australia
Just found this blog and thanks for the article!
I wonder if Kenmochi Hideki, who according to your description is rather cool, would mind if I included him in a Miku fanfic I am writing.
My guess is that he would actually mind. In my experience, it’s not usually easy or allowed to place real living people in fictional stories. Hence the disclaimer at the end of most movies: “Any resemblance to real world people, places, or or organizations is purely coincidental.” or whatever the exact phrasing is. If you want to use him, I would recommend referencing him in a way that people who were in the loop would recognize it, but others would not.
Hooray! Oliver looks just like we imagined him. I wonder about those bandages though…
Can’t wait for a release date!

Well, I suppose this would be good news. Seems to be pretty focused on Asian vocaloids, but I guess that’s to be expected, and I don’t really mind. They’ll probably have some information on the more recent Western vocaloids mixed in, even if it isn’t front-page.

I’m sorry, the project is invitation-only and, as incomplete the list shown is, all members have been selected. There are no sign-ups.
Thank you for your interest, though~ ^w^
There have been two musicians that I had forgotten to include in the list in which Koda-P had based off of for this article:
Chii (chiizuzu on YT) will be joining me and Luna, and Ehmz (aisatsunin on YT) is currently paired up with Empath-P and Haru. Both are vocalists for the project. o w o bb
Please look forward to our project~!! m(__ __)m
They should name it Daíthi <– very Celtic name it means David, and is pronounced Dah-hey
Nice! I’ve been kind of side-eying Cryton’s rush to give every one of their Vocaloids an English library (especially considering that the provider for Miku’s vocals is known NOT to be fluent in English), but I’m pretty excited about SBS’s plans for a proper English SeeU. Considering that her pseudo-english is already suprisingly understandable, I wouldn’t be suprised if English SeeU is actually more intelligible than English Luka.
I’m really excited to see this, but I have to say I’m not going to be tripping over myself to buy her unless she ends up being as good as they hope.
I’m pretty excited. This will now expand the amount of English langauge based Vocaloids. I just hope her English is very good because I really like her.
kool! I hope I can use the English version soon.
Otha would be a good name. It’s Celtic for prosperous.
Thank you, this is perfectly written and is especially very useful for beginners like me who can’t understand anything said in forums filled with experienced Vocaloid users and music writers. Muchas gracias!!
according to Anders & Vocatone, anyone who has previously bought oliver can get a 25% discount on the Vocaloid 3 editor, cutting its cost to about $90. One can go to Oliver’s official facebook account for details.
Sweet! That’s good news for me.
Hey guys. If you like Vocaloids I have an english site with polls, pics, and vids. Its called vocaloidfanaloid.webs.com. Yeah the name is cheesy, but whatever. Anyway, its a new site, and I wish more people would join!
HIGH QUALITY VOICEBANK?!?!?!?!? FINALLY!
SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!
This is going to be cool, but at first, there was a big VOCALOID boom. You know, upgrading the Crypton family, giving Luka an append and giving everyone else an English voicebank. And the mass-production of VOCALOID3. IA, Aoki Lapis, Yayin Gongyu, SeeU, Ring Suzune, Tone Rion, Lui Hibiki, and others I have missed. I miss all that excitement I had. Once I was going to a hotel which is extremely far from where I am, and I would listen to all versions of I=Fantasy I could find and I couldn’t stop ranting to my mom about SeeU. But VOCALOIDS are becoming more realistic, so when you introduce someone to VOCALOID, they won’t know the diffrence if its a computer or human, but that can be a good thing. Since her voicebank is
Korean-pronunciation-based I’m positive it will sound wonderful.

ah this is why whenever I do a cover with vocaloid I myself will sing it first so I can hear all the weirdness that is the American english tongue. like how we pronounce your sometimes as “chor” and it as “id” for some reason the further southwest you go in the US the worst those two words become. but then if you stay in the east you get “coffee” as “coughfe”.
You are right, there is a big difference between the formal and coloquial pronounciation. Sing the song first by yourself is a great idea to notice the phoneme changes you do when sing. I also use a nice tip: singing in “bullet time” to determine each phoneme durations!

Indeed, UTAU is also becoming popular in English. I wonder how many sounds would you need to make an English UTAUloid..
Also, another reason why UTAU could become more popular in English is because UTAU is free to download and therefore, with a few patches, can become available to much more people especially in those areas where the Vocaloid software can be either out of reach or just too expensive. Not to mention you can make your own voicebank with it.
Not being a native english speaker I cannot really help even as an editor but I wanted to stop by and congrats you for the professional-looking and insightful content of this blog and am glad you are expanding its scope.
To be honest I wish I could find the same quality for the Japanese Vocaloid blogosphere, where information in english is very fragmented among several sites and high quality articles would need to be regrouped somewhere.
P.S. speaking of editors, I noticed your email address at the end of this article has a typo.
Also, take note, Vocalekt Visions will also be selling one of my albums at the dealer booth as well. And you may see us walking around too.
According to the “Vocaloid Bruno & Clara” facebook page (which is also managed by VOCTRO LABS), In less than one week, there are already over 1300 entries to the contest.

When I saw that he knew about Karl Jenkins I flipped! I love Karl Jenkins too and can totally hear the influence in Lyle’s music. Nice!!
I strongly disagree with the demo song choice for Kaito English. It is neither Circus’s best work nor the best choice for Kaito. I’m rather disappointed, I hope that we will get another demo of Kaito’s english capabilities!
I really wish Circus picked a different song for this, maybe even made a new one. Even the third verse of Insanity would’ve worked better.
See….. the original creators had no access to KAITO’s improved voicebank.
Well it is interesting but it still has a long way to go in development. I just tried to make Sinsy sing ” You Say that I’m Messing with your head” using muscescore in Xml format and it did fine up until the word “Messing” then it fell apart completely and became inaudible jumble of sounds.Still for something that is free it does have some high quality to it.
Still working on it. It seems Music XML takes every syllable by itself, and I haven’t found any way to enter multisyllable words without using words like “mul” “tee” “sih “luh” “bul”. I haven’t 100% figured out which syllablic words work, either XD

I love Xiang-Ling’s voice to death, but she has some pronunciation/engine issues that make her hard to love sometimes ^^; It’s also difficult to get a sense of what parameters actually run through Sinsy’s engine (partially because I find Musescore awful! You know you have a bad deal, when you feel like Cadencii is less of a pain. Dear reader, do you know what Cadencii is? Do you know how off-model that statement is?
That reminds me, I should go revive my Cadencii-user-thread on Utaforum
Anyways, I love Xiang-Ling and I love that this happened. Based on what I’ve done so far, I’m worried about how viable she’s gonna be. But I’m hoping that I’ll work something out. The endpoint of my tinkering is writing a tutorial of some sort, I think. I think it would be a shame if she’s left behind or forgotten…
This is a good move. Help get English to spread to other vocal synthesis engines. I shall send in info on the English UTAUs I plan on making. In time, though.
Interesting. All the more reason I’m going to try out Sinsy. If only Cadencii didn’t have so many bugs…
I am 99% sure that vocal sample is a genderbent Lily. It also sounds nothing like YOHIO so haha
Can someone with Lily confirm this?
I have lily does not sound like her even her gerderband I think the voice is good tho
no, it´s not lily, It´s not even close to her pronunciation….
I dunno man, I have a song here by V2 Lily (I think it’s called HYBRID) and the pronounciation is the very similar, and it also has the same kind of slurring sound. so.
Wow. It’s good voice!!
Does this will be sold in Japan?
It’d be odd if they didn’t sell him in Japan, I’m sure he’ll make it over there though!
You’re gobouP?? Hi… I love your talkloid series… （*´▽`*)
Yes. I am gobouP. Are you not Japanese people?
However, I am glad you that you watching my talkloid.
Thank you 🙂
probably. Seeing that this is Japanese…
the art is confirmed to be Sartika’s
Hes beautiful ;A;
he is amazingly perfect<3
he looks like KAITO !
are you blind?? how does he look like KAITO??
You can tell It’s YOHIOloid. If you listen to him and Yohio they both sound pretty similar. His voice is very natural and has a slightly higher vocal tone than Yohio himself but they overall have the same vocals. Unlike Lily who actually doesn’t sound like her voicer.
Well you obviously never listened to her V3 then.
I can confirm it’s not LilyV3, since I own her
I like this demo.
I can confirm its Yohioloid.
(you don’t have to believe me but, it is Yohioloid…the final product >_<)
The audio is a BETA-version of YOHIOloid, since it sounds like YOHIO but more cleaner
Since I have LilyV3, I can say it’s not her voice genderbent (tried it out with Kerovee)
I’m the only who thinks this sounds like Yukari :I ?
Well, if this is the final product… him and galaco’s dull voices will be perfect for each other O-O I CALL SHIP! NO ONE ELSE!
saben esa voz es muy similar en tono a la de utatane piko facilmente se pueden hacer modificaciones y replicar algunas palabras en ingles
YOHIOloid and Lily. I’d ship that. Their outfits even have similarities.
Hi, Bil from PowerFX here – It´s great to see such passion amongst Vocaloid users. I would just like to set the record straight on a few things and apologize for the way the contest was run. The demo that was leaked is from a beta version and is not finished. I have no idea who leaked it and we did pass it around to a few people to get feedback.Remember it is a BETA version! Also, Yamaha did not pick the cover YOHIO did. YOHIO in March took part in the Melodifestivalen in Sweden a nationally televised event where the winner represents Sweden in the Eurovision song contest. Yohio won the Swedish vote but became second because they had other counties voting. YOHIO in his gracious runner up concession endeared himself to many and this brought on an immediate tour of concerts and performances all over Sweden on top of planned Japanese, Swedish and English album releases this spring So having him review over 200 submissions was not easy. Finally when he was inStockholm for a TV appearence he came by our office and we once again reveiwed every submission and selected one but YOHIO asked for the artist to change something before he would accept it, it took a couple days but it was done and then we announced. Then we could announce the runners up but then we wanted them reveiwed again to make sure. It was our mistake just not to communicate the delay better – apologies from PowerFX.
Dad had to come and clean the mess of what his children have done….

But we have like three Japanese-English voicebanks; Luka, KAITO, and GUMI (GUMI is probably someone’s best choice).
You can never have enough voice banks. All singers don’t sound alike from one end of the continent to the other, and that’s not even considering native English speakers not from the U.S. Imagine if Utada Hikaru ever had a vocaloid based on her voice. Presumably her English would levels above any bi-lingual vocaloid we have to date, as her English is already excellent.
Echoing what jsmith0552 said, there’s never enough voicebank combinations (and Gumi is at best, a basic English bank. In spite of her amount of samples, she’s missing a lot of data – she’s the only bank that requires an extra dictionary to compensate). Unlike the native Japanese banks that go English, Yohioloid doesn’t have the problems that come with them: inability to separate L/R without sounding strange [pirate ARRRGH], separation of vowels (we have 19/20 to their 5 and theirs sound more like approximations at times), and he’s already fluent in both languages. They’re both accented by his native Swedish, but his first language doesn’t impede on his ability to be understandable for the others. If anything, we sorely need more dual language banks that don’t come from Japan.
Accented in what way? Oliver has a very heavy British accent, Sweet Ann an Australian one. I found Yohioloid to be phonetically fluid, I could understand every word without lyrics with just his demo.
I can understand everything he’s saying too but I think he has an accent too, he definitely doesn’t sound like a native English speaker (and he was bound to have an accent considering how strong YOHIO’s is too).
And I got the date September 17 as the date of the DVD-release

…erm… Now there is a V3 or Vocaloid 3. Then there is also the new Vocaloid YOHIOloid
WHICH I bought from powerfx.com ( exact link: http://powerfx.com/products/yohioloid ) but when I downloaded it… the file became corrupted or invalid… I tried to re-downloading it again but it was still the same… waisted $149… :/
Gonna try Sonika now…
That seems like a technical problem on PowerFX’s end. I had similar issues with my Prima Download from Zero-G and I had to have them regenerate the download link, redownload it, and use 7-zip to unpack the files. Anyways I forwarded your comment to PowerFX Support. Hopefully they will get in touch with you soon. If you can’t find a resolution soon go ahead contact me (via contact page) and I will see what else I can do for you.
Note: while sunzriver was scheduled to appear, it was announced that he couldn’t attend & had to fly back to Japan early due to a medical emergency. I hope he’s OK!
hey, i know this is kinda late but a little heads up for fans of the boxed versions.
They’re also on sale too!

Though the grand prize will likely go to someone Japanese considering the amount of effort Interlink put into the English version of the contest page I expect at least a couple of the runnerup prizes to go to foreigners. If you are not entering for the money it might be worth it for the notoriety.
So is she like an utau or some independent project or what?
Prize winner unconditionally agrees that the copyright of the work will belong to Interlink and gives Interlink the irrevocable permission to use, reproduce, publish, display, transmit copy, amend, store, sell and sub-license the work worldwide for promotional purposes and for the purposes of the Contest.
That is usually how these contests work, especially ones done as part of a PR campaign. The winning song would be of limited utility to Interlink if they couldn’t use said song as they saw fit.
Here’s a demo in English: http://youtu.be/FezfuU6n_Sw
Wonder how many ppl entered. Guess we’ll find out Friday. Although it’d be slightly amusing if there was only like one entry and they won by default.
Cuantos años tiene que le gusta comer queremos saber todo de ella esperemos y que les saquen Buenas canciones
V4’s been out in japan 3 months now.
So The only “New” thing is CYVA. :/
her name is NOT CYVA!
You know, there’s somethingg called “Nickname” do you?

…Not tagged with Sweet Ann… She deserves love too~!
Thanks for rounding up the V4 pricing for us, Hentai. I’m a bit confused by that last line though, as I doubt VY1 & Cyber Diva would be sold as a package.
I think they should really change the designs. I understand that maybe Kenji-P and some other are fans of this type of look, but it is suppose to be a look that can appeal to everyone not just people who are fans of anime. I do like the fact that Zero-G is hiring illustrators to draw their voice bank’s avatars, because even though I like Cyber Diva, I thought she could have had more creativity (not trying to say that she’s a bad voice bank, because she sounds awesome). I don’t know, I just feel like this look is a little too unique. On the other hand, Dex has a really good voice and hope to get him when he comes out.
I am not sure what sort of input Kenji had in the art. When asked about his involvement on stream he stated he was helping them with demos and beta testing. Though I agree, it is definitely a nice change from CyVa or even Zero-G’s LEON and LOLA which didn’t have any art at all.
That being said if we learned anything about Zero-G from Avanna and Aki’s personal blogs talking about her experiences working with them as an artist, they seemed to be heavily involved every step of the way, so much so that Yamaha had to reign Zero-G in thinking “elf ears” were a bit too wild for their eastern sensibilities.
Dex is love. He is my waifu. I called him first live on stream. No one else can have him.
Well if a composer disliked their official design they can just have an artist draw their own interpretation
I’m an actual insider since Windows 10’s first build, and I can assure VOCALOID4 works perfectly on it and so does every single version of it (I also tried MEIKOv1’s demo to be sure VOCALOID1 worked, and it did)
The only little problem are some old installers on the CD version of some VOCALOID2 and 3: you need to choose the compatibility mode to install them correctly. After the installation, it works just fine.!
W.r.t. the V4 editor, VocaloidStore says “Please note this product is only available outside the U.S.”. So is the DVD the only option for U.S. people?
Yea they are pushing the USA Yamaha Store almost exclusively. Even PowerFX stopped selling DVDs of Vocaloid 3 Editor. I don’t think the US even has a download option =/
…and what’s this new avatar for Ruby that PFX silently dropped in on their page?
I just ordered the V4 editor from the Yamaha USA store yesterday. Even though it said it was a DVD, when I completed the purchase I got a download link & activation code. Not even sure if they’re also going to send a DVD or not.
Is there any news about a physical version?

She looks nice, hope there’ll be a male too
Whoops sorry comment got cut off,
ppl keep saying Yamaha’s cost to make a vocaloid is expensive, but does anyone know the exact price? Maybe they can do a kickstarter to help fund it if the companies don’t wanna invest their own money into this project. Giuseppe is well known enough in the community to where it’d be likely to be a success rather than some unknown person in the community who comes outta hiding unless everyone could see how much effort they had put into it
